The Bank of Industry (BoI) will support Nigerians in the Diaspora to invest in the manufacturing sector. Its Principal Manager, Strategic Planning, Mrs Betty Obaseki, has said. Speaking at a capacity building workshop for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in Abuja, she said the bank was considering setting up a special desk in Lagos and Abuja to attend to the needs of such Nigerians. ABOUT N980 million, out of the N1 billion loan jointly sponsored by the Bank of Industry (BOI) and the Ondo State government, has been disbursed to about 80 indigenous small and medium scale entrepreneurs, the Zonal Manager of the financial institution, Kola Adewole, has disclosed. Adewole who stated this in Akure at a stakeholders meeting of beneficiaries of the ODSG-BoI Small and Medium Scale Enterprises Fund, said the remaining N50 million meant for micro businesses would be disbursed next week.
