Over 50 Pakistani investors and exporters will be part of a trade delegation to Nigeria in August, Nigeria’s Ambassador to Pakistan, Dauda Danladi has revealed. Danladi said it is a major breakthrough and turning point after President Goodluck Jonathan’s visit to Pakistan last year. According to him it is also an indication that Pakistani investors are ready for strategic penetration into the Nigerian Market. Exports of chemical  items from India to Nigeria have increased to about 5.6 percent from 2012 to 2013. Also, the total items covered under the purview of ChemExcil (Export Promotion Council, set up by Indian government) to Nigeria in the period stood at $90 .3 million as against $85.5 million of the corresponding period of 2012, said Executive Director, ChemExcil, Mr. Suhas Bhardi. The recent approval of a national broadband policy by President Goodluck Jonathan has opened the door for further investments in Nigeria’s vibrant telecommunications industry and may have a direct revenue impact of N600 billion by 2016, experts have said.
